Traffic soon grinds to a halt as new vehicles flood in and the city expands. Eventually, the city will need to adopt modern infrastructure to keep everything flowing smoothly.<\/p>\n<p>Similarly, modern <a href=\"https:\/\/international-pharma.com\/connected-technologies-optimising-data-management-in-the-era-of-wearable-technology\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">clinical data workbenches<\/a> are built to <a href=\"\/eu\/blog\/is-ai-hype-diluting-smart-automations-impact-on-cdm\/\">automate<\/a> aggregation, cleaning, and transformation of the influx of clinical data from a growing number of sources.<\/p>\n<p>At the 2024 Veeva R&#038;D and Quality Summits in Europe and the U.S., a variety of customers shared efficiency gained by using Veeva CDB (Veeva\u2019s clinical data workbench) to centralize and automate clinical data management. This continues the track record of CDB-driven results <a href=\"\/eu\/blog\/4-biopharmas-and-cros-share-value-created-from-veeva-cdb\/\">reported by customers in 2023<\/a>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"\/eu\/customer-stories\/gsk-4-ways-smart-automation-accelerates-clinical-data-management\/\">GSK<\/a> reduced the average time from a study\u2019s last patient, last visit (LPLV) to database lock by 50% by leveraging CDB\u2019s automation capabilities, achieving a median of 4.4 weeks across a portfolio of 80 active studies and over 5,000 users. \u201cWe&#8217;ve got a hands-free automated data ingestion that&#8217;s faster and easier,\u201d said Graham Craig, director of data management at GSK.  \u201cIt&#8217;s a single control center for the management of clinical data which improves efficiency and increases accessibility for a broader audience.\u201d<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"\/eu\/customer-stories\/acelyrin-optimizes-data-flow-with-cdb\/\">ACELYRIN<\/a> eliminated 3600 manual queries, saving 300 hours of manual effort with automated aggregation and cleaning across sources. \u201cThis is a really good use case for Veeva CDB,\u201d notes Jamie Wildermuth, head of eClinical programming and solutions at ACELYRIN. \u201cHaving that data in Veeva CDB aggregated with our EDC data makes the review much simpler and faster.\u201d<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"\/eu\/customer-stories\/acelyrin-optimizes-data-flow-with-cdb\/\">Atorus Research<\/a> reduced its need for SAS listings by 90% using CDB. \u201cOur SAS programmers really find value,\u201d notes Meg Richie, vice president of global clinical data management at Atorus. She adds, \u201cVeeva CDB allows us to do more real-time data cleaning and move checks upstream. Having the case report form (CRF) and external data in one place adds visibility and provides that holistic picture. That has definitely given some time savings.\u201d <\/li>\n<li><a href=\"\/eu\/customer-stories\/alcon-deciding-whether-to-adopt-veeva-cdb\/\">Alcon<\/a>, a medical devices company, reduced the median time from LPLV to database lock to 10 days \u2013 72% faster than the 36-day industry average. \u201cWe&#8217;ve been able, with CDB and how well our sites perform, to get the data clean very quickly. So usually everything is in and clean within a week for the vast majority of what we deal with,\u201d notes Leianne Ebert, head of global data operations for Alcon.<\/li>\n<li>A <a href=\"\/eu\/customer-stories\/how-a-top-biopharma-gets-quality-data-faster-with-veeva-cdb\/\">leading biopharma<\/a> uses CDB to centralize and save time cleaning data from multiple sources. \u201cMore than 60% of our data is from external vendors.
