Kirsten O’Doherty is the ANZ Vice President and General Manager of biopharmaceutical company, AbbVie where she leads a team of 300+ staff across Australia and New Zealand. She is a member of the AbbVie regional leadership team in Asia, including Japan. AbbVie is focused on discovering, developing, and delivering medicines in therapeutic areas where the company has proven expertise and where the most impact can be made. These areas include immunology, oncology, virology and neuroscience. AbbVie has been ranked in the top three companies for the PatientView reputation survey since 2016 and has been named one of Australia’s ‘Best Places to Work’ in the Great Place to Work index for several consecutive years, including a category ranking of #7 in 2018. Originally qualified and working as a hospital pharmacist, Kirsten’s career has subsequently spanned more than 20 years in the Australian pharmaceutical industry, moving from initial clinical research and medical roles to commercial roles, and finally into senior leadership roles.
As President of Veeva Asia, Doug is responsible for all aspects of Veeva’s business across the region. Doug has spent 25 years in the IT industry, including 17 years living and working in Asia.
Before joining Veeva Systems, Doug spent 7 years at Netezza where he launched and grew the Asia business to over 150 customers. Doug is adept at helping customers in Asia understand and leverage leading global IT solutions.
Prior to his time at Netezza, Doug worked at Siebel Systems, NCR and several smaller start-ups. Doug received his MBA from the Haas School of Business, University of California Berkeley, and his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Oregon State University.

As CRM Strategy Director for Asia, Stephen is responsible for ownership of the strategy and direction for Veeva’s CRM product suite, including core multichannel capabilities as well as the Events Management, Align and Engage products. Stephen has been in several roles during Veeva’s growth in the Asia Pacific region, including most recently, Solution Consulting Director APAC.
Stephen has worked in enterprise software since 1998, in both consulting and technical sales roles. He spent 5 years at PeopleSoft working in the UK, New Zealand and Australia. He first started working with salesforce.com in 2006, and provided early technical consulting on it’s product capabilities in UK and Australia. In 2010 Stephen joined Veeva as the first employee in the APAC region.
Stephen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Auckland University.
As Director, Product Management Commercial Cloud, Giorgio is responsible for the definition and prioritisation of the roadmap for all Veeva CRM products, ensuring that Veeva delivers the best-in-class solution for the APAC region. Giorgio also supports the growth of the region and the expansion in new emerging markets, investigating and understanding the nuances of each country.
Giorgio has worked in the pharma industry for over 13 years, evolving from a leadership role in EMEA support, to Professional Services to Product Management. He has managed regional and global CRM implementations for enterprise customers in both Rx and OTC at Veeva.
Prior to joining Veeva in 2012, Giorgio worked at Eli Lilly as an external consultant for 9 years, leading their Regional Support CoE out of Italy and building knowledge in Clinical Operations, Global Product Safety, MedInfo, Sales and Marketing.
Wayne currently leads the IT organisation within MSD for both Australia and New Zealand, encompassing all facets of technology innovation and realization across a diverse business landscape. Change is something that is a constant for all of us. Wayne has recently stepped back into his CIO role after leading the business digital transformation effort for a period of 18 months.
Damien has over 18 years’ experience within the pharmaceutical industry, with the unique opportunity of having worked in both Technical Operations and Pharma divisions. During this time Damien has held a number of roles both locally and abroad within Quality, Production and Commercial Operations. Throughout his journey, Damien has enjoyed playing the role of ‘solution architect’ ensuring that the end user experience is at the forefront of any system deployment project. This has been evident within his current role focusing on the implementation and project management of sales effectiveness systems. Across the last few years, Damien has been involved in the launch of a number of Veeva systems such as Veeva CRM, Veeva Network, Veeva Align and Veeva Events Management. Damien holds a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry and enjoys watching, playing and coaching sports.
Paul has extensive experience in medical affairs excellence gathered from his position as President of APPA (Australian Pharmaceuticals medical and scientific Professionals Association) as well as being an Executive member of the JPAC leadership committee of MAPS (Medical Affairs Professional Society), a global group focusing on medical affairs professionals coupled with 10 plus years as a country medical director. From an APAC perspective he was the medical affairs lead in several APAC scientific digital leadership projects: developing and implementing the APAC MSL Veeva dashboard for Merck, implementing and rolling out a MSL training and presentation software application, leading the designing and implementing of proprietary Patient Access Program Software as well as customizing a Patient Support Programme system for APAC. Paul has an interest in digitalisation, medical excellence and patient centricity, as well as a “think outside the box” mentality.
Michelle is currently a member of the global marketing operations capabilities team at MSD and responsible for the implementation of a new DAM this year throughout the organization. Her past professional experience includes the management of multiple promotional campaigns, the execution of global meetings and events and the creation of global promotional materials and content to support various product launches in both human health and animal health.
If his 20 year career in sales, marketing and commercial excellence has taught Daniel anything, it is the value of having insights to customer needs and alignment on how we monitor and manage business performance. With the emergence of new analytical systems and an increasingly diverse set of data sources, Daniel is especially interested in understanding how pharma companies will equip themselves in the future to support multichannel customer engagement and medical & commercial business planning.
Julie is a marketing and digital leader who drives digital transformation (DX) and customer experience (CX) strategies through the implementation of complex, enterprise-level projects in B2B and B2C environments. With extensive organisational capability and competence in omni-channel, she works closely with stakeholders on digital strategy development, governance, operations and optimisation.
Andrew has been employed in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry for over 20 years in Australia. Currently as Medical Manager of Rare Diseases at Biogen Australia, recently as Medical Advisor Oncology at Janssen-Cilag Australia; and previously as Senior Medical Liaison Oncology at Eli Lilly Australia. Andrew has an extensive all round experience at an autonomous senior level and have been responsible for the implementation of important internal and external projects throughout his career.
Throughout Siân’s 15+ years within the pharmaceutical industry in medical and commercial roles, she has developed a passion for medical strategy, leadership and people development; in particular building capabilities within teams through leading, coaching and training field medical. Siân’s current role focuses on empowering MSLs to achieve excellence by adding value to both external and internal stakeholders. Siân has been a member of the Executive Committee for the Australian Pharmaceutical Professionals Association for the last 4 years, promoting excellence in pharmaceutical medicine through professional development, networking and advocacy. Siân is an experienced speaker and trainer at international and local meetings. Siân is a qualified pharmacist (GB) and has certifications in pharmacy practice, professional and advanced coaching certifications, a MBA from Warwick Business School and a Masters of Pharmacy from Cardiff University. Siân is currently studying a Masters of Science in Coaching Psychology at the University of Sydney.
Simon has over 20 years of experience within the pharmaceutical industry across both commercial and medical roles, which include sales, training, MSL, medical information and code review. Across all of these roles, collaboration has been the one key link that Simon finds drives common objectives and helps create teams.
Clair is an experienced leader with over 20 years of experience within the pharmaceutical industry, with proven operational experience in driving significant improvements to enhance overall business performance. She has a successful track record in managing all aspects of sales operations, sales force effectiveness, sales force leadership and managing multiple ETMS/CRM systems in the healthcare industry. Clair is a leader who can align teams to execute the desired business vision through excellent system implementation, organisational efficiencies, analytical ability and communication skills.
In his role as customer success director at Aktana Australia, Oleh is responsible for helping life sciences clients transform their commercial approach through harnessing the power of Aktana’s decision support technology. With over 20 years leading pharmaceutical sales & marketing teams across Australia, Korea and Asia, Oleh understands the value data can play when intelligently integrated into the commercial model. Before joining Aktana, Oleh spent over 17 years at Merck in various sales and marketing leadership roles across country, regional and global divisions and more recently leading the prescription business unit at iNova Pharmaceuticals.
Tania Rowland is the founder of Divergent Consulting, a marketing and digital strategy consultancy that helps companies understand and take advantage of digital disruption. Divergent Consulting was founded in 2016, with the goal to help companies transform their marketing team and results through adopting digital-first thinking, embracing new ways of working and building high-performance cultures. Tania has worked with pharma clients across Australia and New Zealand running change management & high-performance marketing programs helping to evolve customer engagement strategies, team capabilities and mindsets. She is an experienced human-centered design facilitator, with extensive pharma knowledge and insights.
In his role as VP Commercial Strategy Asia Pacific, David is responsible for helping clients optimise their Veeva investment. He brings over 20 years experience consulting and working in the Life Sciences industry.
Before joining Veeva, David was the founder and managing director of Vedere Group, an organisation focusing on strategic sales & marketing, CRM solutions, commercial effectiveness, and performance management dashboards and reporting. After Vedere Group was acquired by IMS in 2013, David headed up the IMS Health Commercial Effectiveness and Technology & Services team for ANZ and Asia Pacific.
Prior to starting his own company, David was Global Head of Commercial Excellence for Boehringer Ingelheim, responsible for Product Launch Excellence, Sales & Marketing Performance Reporting & KPIs, Customer Segmentation & Targeting initiatives and Global CRM Implementation.
Manaphan Huntrakoon, Senior Director of Product Management – Manaphan joined Veeva in October 2016 as the Senior Director of Product Management for Commercial Content products. Prior to Veeva, he spent over 15 years designing, supporting, implementing, and building business intelligence and sales and marketing automation software across multiple verticals and geographies.
As Senior Director, OpenData APAC, Cassandra is responsible for the strategy and direction of OpenData in the region.
Cassandra brings over 20 years of experience in business technology across both government and private sectors. Her proven business and marketing experience has helped organisations drive growth and change through data and technology enablement, product development and professional services engagements to a combination of ASX, government and international clients.
Susan uses over 20 years of experience in commercial roles across APAC to help commercial content operators maximise their investment in Veeva Vault, and receive opportunities to future proof their content approval and distribution requirements via continuous improvement.
As Product Manager, Tristan is the guardian of Veeva products and ensures Veeva delivers innovative product features based upon industry requirements. Tristan has been with Veeva for almost 5 years and was previously from Professional Services where he managed regional and global implementations across multiple products for Commercial & Medical Affairs. Tristan enjoys working with customers to resolve their business challenges and looks forward to the summit each year.
Andrew leads the talented ANZ and Korea Commercial Professional Services team in addition to implementing commercial content solutions for our APAC customers.
Working in the content management space for 15 years, Andrew has a proven track-record transforming approval and management processes for commercial content in both Rx and OTC.
Lindsay has 8 years of cloud consulting experience with 3+ years in the life sciences industry. As an expert in Veeva Events Management, Veeva Multichannel and Veeva Align, she’s been instrumental in helping our customers deliver their regional initiatives.
Rahul implemented Veeva CRM, Commercial Content, and Data products for Life Sciences as a consultant with a focus on end-to-end multichannel strategy. Now, Rahul ensures that all Veeva customers in APAC get the most out of their investment by leading the Customer Success Management team in APAC.
As a senior consultant in Veeva for almost 5 years, Noel has been involved in the delivery of many Veeva CRM rollouts – from smaller essentials CRM to large global implementations. Noel currently leads the innovation of Veeva CRM MyInsights in APAC – to empower field users with easy to use, actionable reports and visualisations. Noel has deep experience in many of the CRM modules including key account management, order management, and multichannel, and has expertise in the technical space such as system architecture, customisations and integrations. Prior to Veeva, Noel was in professional Services at IBM’s salesforce.com arm for several years. Prior to IBM, Noel was part of a product team at Oracle to design, build, and support product releases.
Previously Joshua was part of the Professional Services team helping customers large and small implement and achieve success in Veeva Events Management, Veeva CRM as well as other Veeva Multichannel products. Now, Josh is part of the Solution Consulting team and is responsible for ensuring our customers can experience and realise the full value of Veeva’s Commercial Suite of products
