Alessandro is the CIO (Chief Information Officer) for Merck Healthcare, the group’s pharmaceutical division that accounts for more than 40% of the total Merck KGaA revenues.
The role consists in leading the overall Information Technology operations and projects across R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Marketing and Sales functions.

Francesca Domenech Wuttke, Ph.D. is the Chief Digital Officer of Almirall where she is developing and executing an end-to-end companywide digital transformation. She is responsible for finding use cases across R&D, commercial, manufacturing, finance, legal and HR to apply digital solutions and services to bring efficiencies in terms of time and cost and to open up new business channels for Almirall. Dr. Wuttke brings with her broad drug development and healthcare expertise in both the US and Europe, with over 20 years of clinical, commercial, strategic and transactional experience.
She has worked with diverse organizations including start-ups, consulting, large and specialty pharma as well as academia. Most recently, she led European investments as Managing Director for the MSD Global Health Innovation Fund, LLC. Previously Dr. Wuttke led Almirall´s Corporate Development Strategy team to transact on both med device and pharma M&A opportunities with a new and targeted focus for the company. Before that Dr. Wuttke worked at Novartis where she was responsible for two Cell and Gene therapy opportunities that were successfully brought into the organization as well as managing the strategy and commercialization for the existing portfolio of cell therapy assets. Dr. Wuttke holds a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences and a BA from Cornell University College of Arts and Sciences.

As president of Veeva Europe, Chris is responsible for growing the business in the region.
A 27-year veteran of the life sciences industry, Chris started his career at ICI Pharmaceuticals (now AstraZeneca). Chris then joined a start-up called Kinesis, building a team delivering document management solutions for pharmaceutical companies. Through a series of mergers and acquisitions, Kinesis ultimately became PwC; Chris made partner with PwC in 2001. Chris went on to run both European and US (West Coast) life sciences business for IBM before leading the IBM global life sciences consulting Business Analytics and Optimization unit. Most recently, Chris was the lead partner for life sciences for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa at EY.
Chris holds a bachelor of science degree in information technology from the University of Salford.
Aaron Bean is Veeva’s European Business Consulting lead. He has 17+ years of consulting experience, having previously worked at Accenture and more recently at EY for the past 13 years where he led the UK&I Life Sciences consulting practice. Aaron’s areas of expertise and passion lie in helping Life Sciences companies navigate and deliver commercial transformation and innovation programs to improve their customer experience and deliver better outcomes for patients.
At Veeva Business Consulting, Aaron is building a different type of consulting practice that offers commercial strategy through to execution services, leveraging leading technology platforms, assets, and proprietary data to deliver tangible and sustainable value at speed for customers.
David Logue is Veeva’s Senior Vice President of Commercial Strategy and is responsible for the strategy of Veeva Commercial Cloud in Europe. Before Veeva, David spent 20+ years at Accenture delivering digital strategy projects and large-scale business transformation programs, focused in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. He aims to leverage his experience to bring a broad perspective of how an effective digital and data strategy can be truly transformative in the life sciences industry.
David holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Psychology from University College Dublin. He also has a Diploma in Business Studies from the UCD Michael Smurfit School of Business.
Pooja Ojala is responsible for commercial content strategy at Veeva including customer engagement, market adoption and direction, and strategic alliances. Pooja has more than 20 years of experience enabling life sciences organizations to establish and evolve their content businesses in highly complex environments.
Prior to joining Veeva, Pooja led the global content practice at Cognizant. She also spent 16 years at Accenture as the head of North America content services within Accenture Interactive.
Pooja holds a bachelor of science degree in marketing from Penn State University.
As VP of Product Management for Veeva CRM in Europe & LatAm, Povilas is responsible for defining direction of all Veeva CRM products for the region. He’s committed to ensuring close cooperation with customers and delivering on the promise of speed and innovation.
Povilas is working in the Life Sciences software solutions industry since 2004. He has extensive experience in building CRM solutions across wide geographies and various business areas of Life Sciences.
Povilas graduated from Kaunas University of Technology and holds a Master’s degree in Software System Engineering. He also attended the Master of Management Programme at ISM Executive School in Vilnius.
With over 20 years of healthcare and life sciences experience, Rebecca Silver knows the importance of good customer data. As general manager, Veeva OpenData, Rebecca leads a dedicated team of product managers, data stewards, engineers, and services professionals to deliver a superior reference data experience for Veeva customers.
Before leading the global OpenData team, Rebecca was vice president of Veeva OpenData North America, where she led the launch and growth of Veeva’s data offering. Earlier, as VP, professional services, North America, she directed successful implementations of Veeva’s suite of commercial products for many of the world’s most prominent pharmaceutical companies.
In her career, Rebecca has managed product teams, operational teams, sales teams, and delivery teams and has led hundreds of project initiatives. Rebecca’s diverse background in healthcare and life sciences makes her uniquely qualified to lead Veeva OpenData global products and services.
Arno Sosna is responsible for the strategic direction of all Veeva CRM products. Arno and his team ensure that Veeva delivers best-in-class products for managing customer engagement across all online and offline channels, with a focus on streamlined usability, rich functionality, and end-to-end customer success. He also represents Veeva as chief technology officer of Align Biopharma, an industry standards group dedicated to improving how healthcare providers engage life sciences companies.
Arno has extensive experience as a product manager and system architect of global CRM systems, and a background in life sciences that spans Rx, OTC, and animal health businesses. Prior to joining Veeva, he worked for Update Software AG and IDS Scheer implementing CRM solutions, and previously worked as a web-based application developer.
Arno is an Austrian citizen, born in Vienna with Polish roots, living in California. He holds a bachelor of science degree in information management from the University of Applied Sciences in Eisenstadt, Austria.

Giovanni Luca Merlotti has started his career in the Sanofi group in 1995 in Italy, holding various roles of increasing responsibility, first in ITS and then within the Marketing & Sales Dept. After a long experience in Italy, where he lead the Multi-Channel Dept. since year 2000 to 2014 when he joined the Sanofi European Center of Excellence for Multi-Channel developing the MCM methodology still used by Sanofi.
In 2016 Giovanni Luca became Head of Multi-Channel Marketing & Digital for the Global BU General Medicine & Emerging Markets of Sanofi before to join Sanofi Pasteur as Head of Global Multichannel Execution in 2018.
As a Principal Product Manager for Veeva Network, Fernando is responsible for designing features or functions of the product. During the involvement with the entire product lifecycle, the activities performed include the definition of product requirements, strategy, and roadmaps, perform product demos to customers, overseeing the development of features, and providing product support to Veeva sales, marketing, and implementation teams.
Fernando has been working in the life sciences industry since 2008. He started his career at Veeva in 2011 as a product support engineer making his way into professional services, and finally into product management for Veeva Network, where he has grown with the product from the very beginning working in several areas of the best in class cloud-based customer master application for the life sciences industry.
Fernando graduated from the University of Alabama in Huntsville (US) with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering and holds a master’s degree in Management Information Systems.
Gea Ballmann is a Solutions Consultant at Veeva specialized in Commercial Cloud and lead for Events Management. Previous to joining Veeva, she has held various positions that involved Veeva CRM, being it as a trainer for partners or as a consultant during an implementation. Additionally, she has experience as a technical consultant for Microsoft Dynamics 365.
Kevin is a member of the Vault product management team with primary responsibility for Digital Asset Management (DAM). Since joining in 2016 he has managed the Brand/Medical Portal, Automated InDesign Component Linking, Automated Image Renditions, and other DAM initiatives. Prior to Veeva Kevin has served over 20 years in the enterprise software space.
Ian joined Veeva in January 2020 and is responsible for Strategy for Commercial Content across Europe that includes Vault PromoMats, CRM, and other related products. Ian is also responsible for the exciting Global Standard Metrics feature. He is passionate about making life easier for customers to produce compelling content that is fully compliant and delivered to market with speed.
Before joining Veeva, Ian spent over 25 years in several divisions across pharma, from Sales through to Head of Compliance. His most recent roles were as Global VP, Head of Global Advertising & Promotion at Shire and Global VP, Head of Compliance & Ethics Digital Transformation Office at Takeda. Before joining the pharmaceutical industry, Ian served in the Royal Marine Commandos for 12 years.
As VP Veeva OpenData Product for Europe, Angelique is responsible for Veeva’s data division in Europe.
Angelique brings over 20 years of relevant experience within Professional Services, of which 7 have been dedicated to the Life Sciences industry. Prior to joining Veeva, Angelique was vice president of Global and European Operations at life sciences CRM company, Cegedim. Prior to that, Angelique spent over a decade in various senior-level technology project management roles at NCR France, a solutions integration company. Angelique has extensive experience in building and managing professional services teams to serve life sciences users worldwide.
Angelique graduated from the Université Pierre et Marie Curie and earned a Masters of Computer Science from Paris VI University. She has also earned accreditation in project management from the Project Management Institute and undertaken Prince2 training. Angelique is fluent in French, Spanish and English.
Alexander is the VP Products for Link and runs the data product team out of Frankfurt, Germany. Alexander drives our Link vision to enable the commercial model in life sciences.
His team builds data and insights platforms to support or customer to improve patient lives. His passion is to connect life sciences and technology to create effective drug therapies.
Alexander brings 14+ years of experience in industry and research. He holds a Ph.D. in molecular pharmacology and is a licensed Pharmacist.
As part of the Veeva CRM product team in Europe, Zied is responsible for customer success in the area, from product standpoint. Zied has a diverse background: Engineering degree in Computer Science, 4 years as a software engineer at Atos, 3 years in New York at Pierre Fabre’s US subsidiary as a IT/Finance project manager and 6 years at Pierre Fabre HQ in France.
Samuela has 13 years of experience in the life sciences industry, implementing technology solutions for sales and marketing departments.

Before Veeva acquired 14 years of industry experience (Allergan) working in several different roles within the Sales Operations and Business Intelligence area. She was the business lead for the salesforce.com CRM implementation, worked on a bespoke Territory Alignment Management system, and delivered a Master Data Management and Data Quality strategy for Europe.
Sally credits her experience at Allergan as invaluable to her current role at Veeva as she can demonstrate and understand the customer perspective having walked a few miles in their shoes.
Callum Hawes is responsible for leading Veeva’s Global Medical Content Strategy – helping customers to optimize the management of their scientific content, and transform their medical information business processes and technology. Over the last 5 years he has occupied a number of roles across Veeva’s Commercial and Medical Content business having initially joined from Zinc Ahead, where he was responsible for customer insights.
Felicity is a Senior Customer Success Manager dedicated to Commercial and Medical Content in Europe. As part of the CSM team, Felicity provides post-go-live support to Vault Promomats and Vault MedComms customers. Felicity’s role is to ensure Veeva customers maximize their Veeva solutions’ value and get the latest information on Vault releases, best practices, and existing functionality.
As Practice Manager, Multichannel CRM, SMB, Roxanne is responsible for delivering successful CRM implementations to our SMB customers in Europe. With over ten years of consultancy experience in the life sciences industry, she spent the last six years at Veeva working closely with SMB customers across Europe, working on small and medium-sized implementations.
Partnering with Sales, Strategy, and CSM Teams, Roxanne develops implementation approaches and best practices to ensure a smooth and efficient implementation experience for our customers and provide guidance and coaching for Consultants in Project Manager roles.
As a Product Manager for Veeva Vault PromoMats, Emma’s focus is making sure that PromoMats accelerates customers’ review and distribution of compliant content and enables global reuse with built-in digital asset management. She is responsible for owning the product roadmap, designing and overseeing new features, delivering product demos, and working with customers to ensure the product fulfills their requirements.
Before joining Veeva, she worked in the product management team at StubHub, an eBay company, and at Tesco. Emma holds a BSc in Natural Sciences from Durham University.

Ben is the Director of Commercial Cross-Product Architecture in Europe. He is responsible for developing best practices to ensure that customers get the maximum value from Veeva Commercial Cloud investment. Ben comes from a delivery and architecture background. He began his career in Accenture and has spent the last 16 years working in services, mainly in the life sciences industry and the public sector. Ben joined Veeva at the end of 2014 as a data-focused senior consultant. Between 2016 and 2019, he ran EU Network Services, OpenData Services, and Align Services before moving to head-up a new Architecture Services Team in 2020. Currently based in Manchester in the UK, Ben has a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from Durham University.
Vincent is responsible for the integration and automation of data sources, Veeva OpenData evaluation, pre-sales activities, and professional services support during project implementation. Vincent also manages the Veeva OpenData Research Center department in Europe.
Vincent graduated from ENSEIRB-MATMECA engineering school with a specialization in data processing. He started his career in the telecommunication industry and then moved to the pharma industry, with Cegedim/IQVIA. Vincent joined Veeva in 2015 to launch Veeva OpenData in Europe.
Harvey Thandi is part of the Commercial Solution Consulting team. Harvey has over 15 years of experience in providing integrated, cloud-based, best-of-breed technologies to the life sciences industry. As subject matter expert for multichannel and medical CRM, and through tailored demonstrations, Harvey enables companies to achieve their commercial and medical goals of getting treatments to patients faster.
Jeroen is an experienced Life Sciences professional with more than 17 years experience in the Industry. He has mainly worked in IT designing and deploying global CRM & Digital channel solutions in corporate environments. Today, Jeroen is a Customer Success Manager at Veeva, building long-term relationships with customers to make sure they get the most out of the Veeva CRM, matching business processes and Veeva capabilities.

Loyd Vidal is part of the Customer Success Management team in Europe for Commercial Content customers. He looks after our customers to ensure they leverage the tools they have, maximize people and process adoption. As a CSM, he aims to sharpen the customer’s product knowledge to have a continuous improvement of their processes, as well as advise and educate them to increase the value they are receiving from the solution, identify pain points and work to solve them with their and our internal teams.
Loyd joined Veeva during the Summer of 2017, after having spend 8 years in the Content Management space as a Senior Consultant and Customer Success Manager. He has an overall 16 years working in technology solutions, with leading positions within Business and IT.
As a Product Manager for Veeva Align and Veeva CRM in Europe, Neal is responsible for ensuring that those products meet the needs of Veeva’s customers in the region.
He has 15 years of experience working in the CRM space across Europe, almost half of which has been spent in life sciences where he has played key roles in building products and implementing Veeva CRM for global enterprise customers.
Neal holds a bachelor degree in Computer Science from the University of Kent (UK).
Patrick is a Principal Product Manager for Veeva Network in Europe. His responsibilities include the transformation of customer requirements into product functionality, as well as the communication of the product roadmap. His focus is on maximizing the value that customers get out of Veeva Network by designing and delivering innovative product features for the European region.
Patrick has extensive expertise in the area of enterprise information management. During his 20+ years in the IT industry, he has occupied various roles in consulting, development, and product management. Prior to joining Veeva, he worked as a senior solution architect at SAP, implementing solutions for master data management, data integration, and business intelligence. Patrick started his career as a developer for web-based business applications with a focus on the life science and chemical industry.

As a Product Manager for Veeva Vault MedComms, Richard’s focus is making sure that Veeva’s dedicated Vault for medical users meets their specific needs. He is responsible for owning the product roadmap, designing and overseeing new features, creating product demos, and working with customers to ensure the product fulfills their requirements. Richard has experience working in the technology sector. Before joining Veeva, he worked in the product management team at a global fintech firm, delivering quantitative finance solutions to banks and financial institutions.

Elisabet is a Customer Success Manager for CRM in Europe, based in Barcelona. In her role, she supports customers through best practice guidance, education sessions, awareness of latest released features, and partnering on initiatives to ensure their success. Elisabet started her Veeva career in 2019. Before joining Veeva, she had 13+ years in IT consulting, Project Management, and training experience. In her previous role, she acquired her more than four years of Pharma CRM industry experience by working at OMEGA CRM Consulting SL, where she delivered support, project management, and consulting services to Boehringer Ingelheim in her role of IT System Lead for Call Center, Events Management and MLR capabilities. Elisabet has received a Master in Business Administration Degree in ISEAD.
Helene is a Customer Success Manager for Veeva CRM. She works alongside our product, support, sales, and services teams to ensure full her customers’ product adoption and best utilization of Veeva Multichannel CRM solutions to achieve optimal business value. Helene started at Veeva in 2016 as a Professional Services Consultant, implementing CRM, Vault and Events for customers. Prior to Veeva, she has been already helping pharma companies for several years, working in a multichannel content agency.
Naomi leads the Commercial Customer Success Team in Europe, responsible for the ongoing success of Veeva’s CRM and Commercial Vault customers by maximising the value they are getting from their existing Veeva investment.
Naomi has more than ten years of experience in the life sciences industry having joined Veeva as part of the acqusition of Zinc Ahead in 2015. Naomi previously worked in healthcare communications for a small number of digital agencies and has deep domain and technical expertise, particularly around the creation, approval and publishing of multichannel content.

Peter joined Veeva in 2019 after 12 years in architecture and digital transformation advisory at global companies. Over the past 18 years, Peter has worked with business and IT teams to deliver technology solutions to business problems. Peter has an MSc. in Computer Sciences and Bsc. in Economics.
Orestis is a Business Consultant for Commercial Content. In his time implementing DAM for life sciences organizations of all sizes, Orestis Ntarlas has developed a strong understanding of DAM – from building modular content strategies to overseeing global rollouts. He is a graduate of the Veeva Consultant Development Program. He has spent his career at Veeva, helping customers configure Vault PromoMats to their needs. Her career began as a CRM Analyst for a global pharma company, where she was involved in the go-live and ongoing adoption of Veeva CRM in the market. Nicki managed Veeva platforms across Europe for an SMB before moving to Accenture, where she had the opportunity to expand her CRM and Vault knowledge while working as a Consultant on Veeva implementations with Global Pharma clients.
Nicki is based near Maidenhead in the UK and holds a BSc in Business Research & Consultancy from Aston University.
Ashley is the Data Governance & Quality Manager for Veeva OpenData Europe. He is based in France and is responsible for defining and implementing the data governance framework, data quality monitoring, and compliance process for Veeva OpenData. Ashley started his data career in 2001 and later got involved with customer reference data in 2006 while at Cegedim. He moved to Veeva in 2014 and has been focused on OpenData product excellence ever since. Ashley received a BS in Economics from UC Santa Cruz.
Tobias is the VP Link Application. He is responsible for the design, delivery, and roadmap of the software. Before joining Veeva in 2015, he created Award-winning analytics and content optimization software used by Boeing, Norton, Adobe, and others. Tobias held product leadership positions in Asia, the US, and Europe.
