Veeva Heroes: Leading Digital Transformation to Advance Commercial Execution

Each year at the Veeva Commercial & Medical Summit Europe, we recognize Veeva Heroes. These trail blazers are selected for improving commercial execution to drive better customer engagement in the life sciences industry. This year, we celebrated heroes from Boehringer Ingelheim, Bluebird bio, Bayer, GSK, Shionogi, and Novartis.

The winners are…

Veeva Heroes

Saskia Richter, Boehringer Ingelheim

Saskia has been instrumental in enabling digital customer engagement at Boehringer Ingelheim. She led the implementation of Veeva CRM Engage Meeting across a number of markets globally, opening new avenues for digital interaction that have significantly improved customer experience for the company.

Lars Rasmussen, Bluebird bio

Lars was the driving force in the implementation of Veeva CRM, Veeva CRM Events Management, and Veeva OpenData, to support the medical and commercial teams as Bluebird bio launched a new gene therapy. Thanks to his deep knowledge of the business and understanding of digital channels, bluebirdbio can now seamlessly integrate digital and personal channels, extending its reach to engage with the right customer through the right channel at the right time.

Miroslav Kourimsky, Bayer

Miroslav led the global deployment of Veeva Commercial Cloud at Bayer, working closely with the sales team to transform commercial execution across the company. His decision making and continuous hard work has helped define the strong customer engagement foundation that Bayer has today.

Parker Richardson, GSK

Parker led the successful implementation of Veeva Vault PromoMats at GSK. He was the driving force behind the company’s move to digital asset management and his work has enabled GSK to expand content reuse and get content to market faster. Parker has become an industry leader in content strategy and has been instrumental in showing the industry how streamlining the digital supply chain can increase efficiency and agility, resulting in commercial advantage.

Dan Atkins, Shionogi

As the vice president for digital innovation and insight at Shionogi, Dan has demonstrated how a passion for innovation can inspire change. He has helped Shionogi build a strong foundation for digital success by deploying Veeva Commercial Cloud across the organization, unifying data, content management, and customer engagement in one solution. His enthusiasm and willingness to continually try new solutions to deliver the best for Shionogi has enabled the company to leverage digital channels to achieve field force excellence.

Barbara Albientz, Novartis

Barbara oversaw Novartis’ successful implementation of the multichannel engagement approach via Veeva CRM and subsequently supported the rollout of Veeva Oncology Link. She has played a key role in driving change towards a new customer engagement model at the company, which has resulted in a significant increase in customer interaction touchpoints and deepened engagement with customers.
