Jennifer Goldsmith, VP of Veeva Vault, appointed to RAPS Regulatory Focus Board of Editors
PLEASANTON, CA — October 29, 2015 — Veeva Systems’ Vice President of Veeva Vault, Jennifer Goldsmith, has been appointed to the Board of Editors for Regulatory Focus, the flagship online publication of the Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society (RAPS). Goldsmith joins esteemed regulatory professionals from many of the world’s leading life sciences organizations including Alkermes, Allergan, Amgen, Becton Dickinson, Dyax, Optum, Parexel Consulting, among others. Goldsmith brings 20 years of experience helping life sciences companies navigate the industry’s ever-shifting regulatory landscape, from early research to commercial operations.
Founded in 1976, RAPS helped establish the regulatory profession and continues to actively lead the area as a neutral, non-lobbying nonprofit organization. It is the largest global organization for those involved with the regulation of healthcare and related products, including medical devices, pharmaceuticals, biologics, and nutritional products. As a member of RAPS’ Board of Editors, Goldsmith will review and edit contributed manuscripts for RAPS Regulatory Focus, an online publication read by more than 12,000 RAPS members in over 60 countries. RAPS Regulatory Focus is the only source fully dedicated to covering healthcare regulatory issues.
Goldsmith has been innovating successful compliance solutions for life science companies since the start of her career, implementing the earliest regulatory submissions document management and publishing systems in the mid-1990s. She continued to create groundbreaking regulated content management solutions as standards evolved to eCTD and other publishing types. At Veeva, Goldsmith spearheaded the development of the first cloud-based regulated content management solution for the life sciences industry with the Veeva Vault platform and suite of applications – a solution set that’s revolutionizing how companies share and collaborate across the organization. In fact, PharmaVOICE named Goldsmith one of the “Top 100 Most Inspirational Leaders” in life sciences in 2011 for her achievements with Veeva Vault.
The Veeva Vault suite has expanded rapidly since introduced in 2011, and now spans clinical, quality, commercial, medical, regulatory, and every major part of a global life sciences company to ensure one trusted source for content and data across the enterprise. Today, more than 190 life sciences organizations, including 17 of the top 20 largest pharmaceutical companies, rely on Vault to manage critical content.
“Regulatory compliance concerns every area of a life sciences company, so we are working to ensure that our editorial, likewise, reflects a broader cross-section of disciplines,” explained Gloria Hall, senior editor, RAPS Regulatory Focus. “Jen fits the bill with her extensive background in life sciences regulated content management software combined with impressive writing experience, making her a perfect addition to our editorial team. She even co-founded a literary magazine earlier in her early career. Welcome to the team, Jen.”
In addition to serving on the RAPS Board of Editors, Goldsmith is a featured speaker for the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA). As a highly regarded thought leader, Goldsmith authors numerous articles, participates in analyst briefings, and presents at industry events. She can be reached at
