Veeva Vault 7 Is Now Live

Being in the cloud means new innovations come sooner – it has only been four months since our last release! In this blog, we outline the top 10 reasons why Vault 7 will make your life better. This latest release significantly improves end-user experience and automates more business processes, increasing productivity and mitigating compliance risk. With new visibility into a document’s history, intelligent workflows, and easier ways to add and find content, Vault is redefining secure document collaboration.

1.   Visual timeline of a document’s history – With a single glance, see a comprehensive overview of a document’s history, or for more detail, click on the workflow history report.

2.   Drag and drop files into Vault – Uploading content is faster and easier with the new drag and drop capabilities.

3.   Sticky search filters – Your search filters will be remembered the next time you log in, saving you time and making your Vault experience a little more personal.

4.   Accessible user profiles – Do your users often search for a person’s contact information when they have a question on a document? Now just hover over the document owner or modifier’s name to see his or her contact information.

5.   Help text on document properties – Add help text to each property field, making it easier for users to classify documents.

6.   Task verdicts in signature pages – On the signature page you can now see the reason for signing, providing more clarity on document approvals.

7.   Automatic assignment of document life cycles – Choosing the wrong life cycle can mean the wrong people viewing your document. The system automatically uses the right life cycle and ensures that content is processed appropriately.

8.   Dynamic menus – Simplify menus to only show relevant options. This saves time for users and helps advance documents in their workflow. For instance, when a document is marked as ‘at department X’ you can hide the menu option ‘send to department X’.

9.   Automatically update document properties – The days of going back to documents and adding expiration dates, date of QC review, and other details, are over. You can automatically update any document property during workflow processing.

10. Vault now comes in French, German, and Italian – Supporting your international users has just become easier with expanded localization.

As always, these new releases are available to Vault customers at no additional cost. Stay tuned to our blog to hear more on the latest release of Veeva Vault eTMF, Veeva Vault QualityDocs, Veeva Vault MedComms, and Veeva Vault PromoMats. We look forward to more advancement in four months.
