Talking to Global Pharmas at R&D Summit

At this year’s R&D Summit we introduced a new track, Vault Across the Enterprise, intended to bring together customers with global perspectives and those with multiple Vault applications. We felt it was important for people to learn directly from our product management team about how to deploy a single Vault application globally. Having everyone in the same Vault application doesn’t mean every country or individual necessarily has the same view.

Governance has become even more important as customers expand their Vault deployments. For a number of our customers Vault has become their standard for content management and the number of multi-vault companies is growing. Attendees heard from a panel of their peers about how to work cross-functionally to oversee and coordinate vaults, releases, and training. These are my favorite type of sessions because they allow customers to connect and learn from each other directly.

Over the past year, I have also seen a growing interest in extending the Vault Platform to build new applications. It was great to witness the excitement as participants heard what others are doing with the Vault Platform and envisioning the possibilities now that Vault will manage documents and data together. Jason Adams talks more about this in his blog entry.

I was excited to see all our customers again and catch up. I also loved seeing people find former colleagues and make new connections around shared interests. At the end of the day, R&D Summit is a great event for connecting and learning. If you want to revisit any of the presentations from this track, you can find them here.
