Arno Sosna

General Manager, CRM

Arno Sosna is responsible for the strategic direction of all Veeva CRM products. Arno and his team ensure that Veeva delivers best-in-class products for managing customer engagement across all online and offline channels, with a focus on streamlined usability, rich functionality, and end-to-end customer success. He also represents Veeva as chief technology officer of Align Biopharma, an industry standards group dedicated to improving how healthcare providers engage life sciences companies.

Arno has extensive experience as a product manager and system architect of global CRM systems, and a background in life sciences that spans Rx, OTC, and animal health businesses. Prior to joining Veeva, he worked for Update Software AG and IDS Scheer implementing CRM solutions, and previously worked as a web-based application developer.

Arno is an Austrian citizen, born in Vienna with Polish roots, living in California. He holds a bachelor of science degree in information management from the University of Applied Sciences in Eisenstadt, Austria.

Avril England

General Manager, Veeva Vault

Avril England is the general manager of Veeva Vault, a fast-growing cloud software platform and suite of applications to manage content, data, and business processes for life sciences and other regulated industries. Under Avril's leadership, Veeva Vault has grown to represent 40% of Veeva revenues.

Avril has more than 20 years of experience building and scaling product teams, including 15 years at innovative software-as-a-service companies. She was a key contributor in two successful IPOs and played leadership roles at world-class organizations including Oracle's PeopleSoft, Cisco's WebEx, and IBM's DemandTec.

Avril holds a bachelor of commerce honors degree from Queen's University in Ontario, Canada, and has received numerous professional and academic awards.

Henry Levy

General Manager, Veeva Vault CDMS

As general manager of Veeva Vault CDMS, Henry has overall responsibility for the Veeva Vault CDMS product and is focused on having Veeva become the market leader for data collection and cleaning for clinical trials. Henry has spent 25 years working to transform how the $1.7 trillion life sciences industry improves patient health. He also represents Veeva as president of Align Biopharma and Align Clinical CRO, two industry standards groups dedicated to improving how healthcare providers engage life sciences companies, as well as making it easier for sponsors and CROs to work together during clinical trials, respectively.

Prior to Veeva, Henry was chief commercial officer for PPD, where he defined new models for biopharma companies to partner with contract research organizations, drive down costs, and improve the speed of drug development. Before that, he led Accenture's global life sciences R&D practice, helping the industry improve through consulting, technology, and outsourcing solutions. In his role, Henry worked with 90% of the top 20 biopharmaceutical companies and provided Accenture leadership to industry groups such as TransCelerate and Hever.

Henry has published multiple articles on clinical development and technology trends, and is a frequent speaker at industry forums. He currently is on the board of Alliance for Clinical Research Excellence and Safety. He holds a bachelor of science degree in bioengineering from the University of Pennsylvania.

Brian Longo

Senior Vice President and General Manager, Veeva Vault Safety

As senior vice president and general manager of Veeva Vault Safety, Brian Longo is responsible for the definition and direction of Veeva's safety products for life sciences, ensuring that Veeva delivers modern and adaptive cloud applications purpose-built for safety.

Over the past 10 years, Brian has designed and delivered enterprise and custom application for various pharmaceutical organizations with specific focus on sales force effectiveness, managed markets and key opinion leader management. In addition, he spent several years architecting and implementing industry leading solutions in the medical affairs and drug discovery areas of the pharmaceutical industry. In 2013, Brian was named to the PharmaVOICE 100 which recognizes the 100 most influential people in the life sciences industry.

Prior to joining Veeva Systems in 2007, Brian worked at Siebel and Accenture where he was consistently recognized as a top performer and aligned to critical business needs to ensure customer satisfaction and successful implementations.

Brian holds a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering from Pennsylvania State University.

Paul Shawah

Senior Vice President, Commercial Strategy

Paul Shawah is responsible for commercial product strategy at Veeva including customer engagement, market adoption and direction, and strategic alliances. Paul has nearly 20 years in product management, marketing, and sales leadership for enterprise software companies serving the life sciences industry.

Before Veeva, Paul ran the life sciences industry business at SAP with responsibility for product strategy and business development for SAP solutions globally. Prior to SAP, Paul ran product marketing and sales for Proscape, the then leader in closed loop marketing (CLM). Paul is widely recognized as an early pioneer and evangelist in closed loop marketing and is credited with selling and implementing some of the industry’s earliest CLM deployments. Paul began his enterprise software career as one of the early product managers for Siebel Pharma helping to create the product that became the on premise market leader in pharmaceutical CRM.

Paul received his MBA from the Harvard Business School and his bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering from Bucknell University.

Rebecca Silver

VICE PRESIDENT, VEEVA GLOBAL OPENDATA

With over 20 years of healthcare and life sciences experience, Rebecca Silver knows the importance of good customer data. As vice president for Veeva Global OpenData, Rebecca leads a dedicated team of product managers, data stewards, engineers, and services professionals to deliver a superior reference data experience for Veeva customers.

Before leading the global OpenData team, Rebecca was vice president of Veeva OpenData North America, where she led the launch and growth of Veeva's data offering.  Earlier, as VP, professional services, North America, she directed successful implementations of Veeva’s suite of commercial products for many of the world’s most prominent pharmaceutical companies.  

In her career, Rebecca has managed product teams, operational teams, sales teams, and delivery teams and has led hundreds of project initiatives. Rebecca's diverse background in healthcare and life sciences makes her uniquely qualified to lead Veeva OpenData global products and services.

Kilian Weiss

General Manager, Veeva Oncology Link

As general manager of Veeva Oncology Link, Kilian is responsible for the strategic direction, growth, and customer success of Veeva´s Key Opinion Leader (KOL) oncology data and analytics platform.

Before joining Veeva, Kilian founded Mederi, a leading provider of global KOL data and services for life sciences companies. Veeva acquired Mederi in 2015 and Weiss joined the Veeva team to create the company’s first KOL data platform. He has worked with life sciences executives around the world to enhance collaboration between the industry and the scientific community.

In 2016, Weiss was named to the prestigious PharmaVOICE 100, which annually recognizes the top 100 most inspirational and influential people in the life sciences industry.

Andrew Fuchs

Vice President, Nitro Commercial Strategy

Andrew is the market owner for Veeva Nitro and brings more than 20 years of operational innovation and strategic leadership to his current role at Veeva. He joined Veeva in 2013 as part of the commercial strategy organization supporting the launch of Veeva CRM Events Management and Veeva Align and remains involved in global partner development for Veeva’s event management technologies.

Before joining Veeva, Andrew started his career in sales administration at US Surgical, a medical devices company. He next spent over four years consulting at KPMG and C3i, focusing on implementing solutions for government pricing compliance and the CRM in life sciences. Lastly, he spent 10 years with Boehringer Ingelheim in various roles in commercial operations and commercial excellence, in both the US and in Ingelheim, Germany, where he oversaw the global multichannel CRM program and the initiative to migrate to Veeva solutions.

JIM REILLY

Vice President of Clinical Market Strategy

As Vice President of Clinical Market Strategy at Veeva, Jim is responsible for customer engagement, market adoption, and strategic alliances. For the last 15 years, Jim has held a variety of senior positions in life sciences technology, where he has led software delivery and sales efforts in clinical operations, regulatory, clinical data standards, and content management. 

Prior to joining Veeva, Jim led teams responsible for Sales and Delivery of clinical data standards and regulatory technologies at Accenture (formerly as part Octagon Research Solutions).  Jim also has extensive consulting experience from his time at Octagon Research, as well as HighPoint Solutions, where he led business process improvement and technology selection programs in clinical and regulatory operations at a number of large pharmaceutical organizations.

Jim holds an MBA in Information Systems from Villanova University and a B.S. in Neuroscience from the University of Scranton.

John Lawrie

Vice President, Veeva Vault RIM

John Lawrie has nearly 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. He is currently vice president of strategy for the Veeva Vault regulatory information management (RIM) product suite. In this role, he’s responsible for product direction, customer engagement, market adoption, and strategic alliances.

Prior to joining Veeva, John led the consulting group at Octagon Research Solutions (now Accenture), which specialized in assisting clients with the planning and development of CDISC-based data and regulatory submission capabilities in order to achieve regulatory compliance while maximizing operating efficiencies. He has extensive experience with implementing globally-deployed systems using the latest available technologies. John has also worked for Computer Sciences Corporation, where he led business analysis, process design, organizational change and project management activities.

John graduated with honors from Bucknell University with a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering.

Michael Jovanis

Vice President, Veeva Vault Quality

As vice president of the Vault Quality product suite, Michael Jovanis is responsible for product strategy, customer engagement, and business development. He has over 15 years in life sciences developing and designing quality solutions. Before Veeva, Mike served as vice president of product management and strategy for Sparta Systems. While at Sparta, he was instrumental in the company's rapid growth, driving product development, vertical market strategy, and strategic partner alliances. Mike received his bachelor of science degree in marketing from Rutgers Business School and an MBA in strategy and global business from Rutgers Graduate School of Management.

Jim Diefenbach

General Manager, Vault Medical Device and Diagnostics

As general manager of Veeva’s global medical device and diagnostics business, Jim is responsible for customer success and the direction of Veeva products to help medical device companies improve speed and agility in product development.

Jim has nearly 25 years of experience driving customer success and solving complex customer problems at leading life sciences and software companies. Previously, Jim was sales director for commercial and R&D at Veeva. Prior to Veeva, he held sales and marketing leadership roles at various life sciences and technology companies, including Vertical Performance Partners (which was acquired by Mobiquity), Biogen, Sunovion, and AstraZeneca.

Jim has a bachelor of science degree in marketing from Plymouth State University.

Seth J. Goldenberg

VICE PRESIDENT, VAULT MEDICAL DEVICE AND DIAGNOSTICS

Seth J. Goldenberg is responsible for the Veeva Vault strategy in the medical device and diagnostic industry, including customer engagement, market adoption, and product development. Seth has nearly 20 years of experience in supporting medical device and diagnostics companies navigate complex regulations and improve market access.

Before Veeva, Seth was the director of product marketing at North American Science Associates (NAMSA), where he supported medical device companies from inception through commercialization and post-market activities. Seth also has experience supporting life science companies achieve their commercial goals from his time as a consultant. Outside of Veeva, Seth plays an active role in the industry, as a member of the Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society (RAPS) and as the “Entrepreneur-in-Residence” at the Philadelphia Pediatric Device Consortium.

Seth holds a doctorate in pharmacology from the University of Washington and a master’s in biomedical engineering from Drexel University.

Doug Ostler

Co-founder, Vice President, Products

Doug Ostler is responsible for all aspects of the KOL product - from design and development through delivery and support. He brings over 20 years of software development experience background.

Prior to joining Veeva Systems, he spent more than 13 years at PeopleSoft and later Oracle holding various positions including director of engineering. While at PeopleSoft, Doug helped build and deliver many of its core technologies including mobile and reporting. He also has served as director of product management at Agistics.

Doug graduated from California Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo with a bachelor of science degree in international management.

Stan Wong

Vice President, Products & Technology, Veeva Network

Stan Wong is responsible for all aspects of Veeva Network product development including design, engineering, and support. He has over 18 years of industry experience building enterprise software.

Prior to joining Veeva, Stan was vice president of product development at Informatica and vice president of engineering at Siperian (acquired by Informatica). Stan was part of the pioneering team that developed Informatica’s MDM hub and was responsible for the core technologies used in its platform. Stan also holds a patent for MDM related data processing.

Stan started his career at PriceWaterhouse building large enterprise data warehouse systems in verticals such as financial services, oil and gas, and insurance.
Stan received his bachelor of applied science degree in systems design engineering from the University of Waterloo.

Raymond Letulle

Senior Vice President, Veeva Vault CDMS

Raymond Letulle leads the development of Veeva Vault CDMS, helping customers improve data quality and speed to cut the cost and complexity in clinical trials.

Raymond brings over 25 years of experience to Veeva delivering enterprise and cloud-based software. He comes to Veeva from Medrio, Inc., where he spent the past several years as chief operating officer and head of product, owning the product roadmap and delivery of their cloud-based eClinical EDC and eSource products. Through his many years of experience, Raymond has developing firsthand knowledge of the best practices and challenges faced by product, engineering, marketing, and sales in delivering technology products to market.

Raymond holds a bachelor of arts degree in economics from Rice University.

Drew Garty

Chief Technology Officer at Vault CDMS

Drew’s career in pharmaceutical technology spans over 20 years and includes significant experience in eClinical system architecture, design, and development, as well as process design, solution validation, and international implementation and support.

Drew spent the majority of his career prior to Veeva at PAREXEL, where he led the operational institutionalization of EDC, quickly increasing the utilization of EDC from 25% to over 95% in less than two years. Next, Drew and his team developed technology solutions in large scale partnerships and focused on driving the development and standardization of risk-based monitoring tools and techniques. Drew’s innovative solutions in risk-based monitoring earned him a prestigious industry “Clinical Innovator of the Year” award in 2015.

Drew joined Veeva in 2016 as Vice President of Product Management and led the ground-up design of Veeva’s Vault EDC solution. In his current role of Chief Technology Officer at Vault CDMS, Drew shares and collaborates with customers, partners, and the industry to set vision and direction of Veeva’s CDMS product.
