Henry Levy

Chief Strategy Officer

Henry Levy, chief strategy officer at Veeva, has been working to transform the way the biopharmaceutical industry improves patient health for 23 years. Prior to Veeva, Henry was chief commercial officer for PPD, where he defined new models for the biotech and biopharmaceutical industry to partner with contract research organizations. These new models brought down the cost and improved the speed of drug development.

Prior to PPD, Henry led Accenture's life sciences research and development practice, helping the industry improve through consulting, technology, and outsourcing solutions. In his role, Henry worked with 90% of the top 20 biopharmaceutical companies and provided Accenture leadership to industry groups like TransCelerate and Hever. Henry has published multiple articles on clinical development and technology trends, and is a frequent speaker at industry forums. Henry holds a bachelor of science degree in bioengineering from the University of Pennsylvania.

Brian Longo

GENERAL MANAGER AND SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, VEEVA VAULT EDC

As senior vice president and general manager, Veeva Vault EDC, Brian Longo is responsible for the definition and direction of Veeva's clinical data management products for life sciences, ensuring that Veeva delivers modern and adaptive cloud applications purpose-built for trial processes to speed critical workflows and enable real-time feedback.

Over the past 10 years, Brian has designed and delivered enterprise and custom application for various pharmaceutical organizations with specific focus on sales force effectiveness, managed markets and key opinion leader management. In addition, he spent several years architecting and implementing industry leading solutions in the medical affairs and drug discovery areas of the pharmaceutical industry. In 2013, Brian was named to the PharmaVOICE 100 which recognizes the 100 most influential people in the life sciences industry.

Prior to joining Veeva Systems in 2007, Brian worked at Siebel and Accenture where he was consistently recognized as a top performer and aligned to critical business needs to ensure customer satisfaction and successful implementations.

Brian holds a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering from Pennsylvania State University.

Alan Mateo

Executive Vice President, Global Sales

Alan Mateo is executive vice president of global sales for Veeva. He brings more than 30 years of experience in enterprise software.

His career is marked by directing high-performing sales teams and forging strategic relationships with leading companies. Alan spent the last 10 years selling clinical cloud solutions in life sciences while head of worldwide field operations at Medidata Solutions. Prior to Medidata, Alan worked in various sales positions at top software companies including PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, and Red Pepper Software. At PeopleSoft, Alan headed up the product sales organization, helping to drive PeopleSoft’s transition to a billion-dollar company with multiple product lines. He also led the successful integration of the JD Edwards and PeopleSoft sales organizations with combined revenue of more than $2.5 billion.

Richard Young

Vice President, Veeva Vault EDC

As vice president for Veeva Vault EDC, Richard Young is responsible for establishing Veeva Vault EDC as the best in class solution for all data acquisition, management and reporting purposes. With almost 25 years of experience in life sciences, Richard is known for his executive vision and proven operational experience in data management, eClinical solutions, and advanced clinical strategies.

Most recently, Richard served as vice president of global consulting partners at Medidata Solutions, where he established new partner relationships with the leading life science consulting organizations. Richard also spent a number of years leading the mid-market Europe, Middle East, and Africa sales team at Medidata, where he was responsible for all customer interactions and driving new business. In his roles, Richard spent considerable time consulting on adaptive trials, risk based monitoring, big data, mobile health, and other major data strategies with sponsors and partner organizations across the globe.

Richard also held operational roles in both pharmaceutical and contract research organizations, such as GlaxoWellcome, Novo Nordisk, Chiltern and PAREXEL, before moving into business development with Cmed. Richard holds a bachelor of science degree in biochemical sciences from Coventry University.

Hugo Cervantes

Vice President, Vault EDC

As vice president Vault EDC, Hugo Cervantes is responsible for Vault EDC strategy, market adoption, and customer engagement. Hugo has spent the last 15 years in management consulting and professional services, helping biopharmaceutical organizations increase their productivity, innovate and grow.

Prior to joining Veeva, Hugo was a senior director of corporate strategy at QuintilesIMS, the world’s largest contract research organization. Before QuintilesIMS, Hugo held senior management roles in the R&D consulting practices of Deloitte and Accenture. In these roles, Hugo worked with seven of the top 10 pharma to help increase their returns on R&D investment and deliver innovative new operating models and technologies, often including eClinical and EDC.

Before consulting, Hugo worked for Phase Forward (Oracle) implementing EDC and eClinical across large pharma, emerging biotechs and contract research organizations. Hugo graduated from the University of Brighton with a bachelor of arts degree in international business studies.

Raymond Letulle

Senior Vice President, Veeva Vault EDC

Raymond Letulle leads the development of Veeva Vault EDC and Veeva Vault eSource, helping customers improve data quality and speed to cut the cost and complexity in clinical trials.

Raymond brings over 25 years of experience to Veeva delivering enterprise and cloud-based software. He comes to Veeva from Medrio, Inc., where he spent the past several years as chief operating officer and head of product, owning the product roadmap and delivery of their cloud-based eClinical EDC and eSource products. Through his many years of experience, Raymond has developing firsthand knowledge of the best practices and challenges faced by product, engineering, marketing, and sales in delivering technology products to market.

Raymond holds a bachelor of arts degree in economics from Rice University.

Drew Garty

Vice President, Veeva Vault EDC

As a leader of Veeva System’s expanded clinical data management solutions, Drew Garty is passionate about developing and implementing technology solutions to solve the life sciences industry’s greatest challenges. His focus is on building Veeva Vault EDC and Veeva Vault eSource applications as a part of a comprehensive Veeva Vault Clinical suite.

Drew’s career in pharmaceutical technology spans nearly 20 years and includes significant experience in eClinical system architecture, design, and development, as well as process design, solution validation, and international implementation and support. His first decade in the industry focused primarily on the development and successful application of EDC.

Drew spent the majority of his career prior to Veeva at PAREXEL, where he led the operational institutionalization of EDC, quickly increasing the utilization of EDC from 25% to over 95% in less than two years. Next, Drew and his team developed technology solutions in large scale partnerships and also focused on driving the development and standardization of risk-based monitoring tools and techniques. Drew was recently awarded the Clinical Innovator of the Year award by Partnerships in Clinical Trials for his novel approaches to risk-based monitoring.

Jason Rizzo

Senior Director, Vault EDC Sales

Jason Rizzo is senior director, sales, Veeva Vault EDC. He brings nearly 20 years of life sciences experience to his role at Veeva, where he leads the EDC sales team. Recognized for building customer-centric and inquisitive sales teams, Jason combines his broad expertise in e-Clinical applications with deep domain knowledge in the drug development functions of data management and clinical operations.

Prior to joining Veeva, Jason held multiple roles of increasing responsibility at Medidata Solutions, culminating in vice president, platform sales, where he led the sales of several product lines. As vice president, Asia Pacific sales, Jason served as the senior field executive in the region spearheading Medidata’s continued growth in Japan, while leading their expansion into Australia, China, Korea, and Singapore. Additionally, Jason spent more than seven years positioning EDC as both head of strategic accounts and an individual producer.

Before entering the EDC space, Jason sold clinical and data services at two world-class clinical research organizations - INC Research and Theradex Systems. He earned his bachelor degree at Greensboro College and holds an MBA from the University of Notre Dame.

Ami Dudzinski Mehr

Vice President, Veeva Vault EDC Services

Ami Dudzinski Mehr is responsible for the Veeva Vault EDC global services team, delivering excellence, quality, and speed for Veeva’s customers.

Ami has nearly 20 years of experience leading teams in professional services spanning life sciences, R&D, and consulting. She has extensive software and delivery methodology expertise in implementing SaaS-based EDC and IRT/IVRS. Prior to Veeva, Ami spent time at Phase Forward and Oracle Health Sciences, where she focused on EDC and IRT/IVRS delivery for ASP and enterprise adoption customers in North America.

Ami holds a bachelor of arts in mathematical and physical sciences from Wells College. She also holds a leadership certificate from the School of Management, Simmons College.

Joanne Schmidt

Director, EDC Solution Consulting

Joanne Schmidt is director of solution consulting for Vault EDC. She comes with 20 years of experience in solution innovation in the life sciences sector. Previously, Joanne spent eight years at Oracle delivering solutions for business challenges in both clinical and pharmacovigilance systems. Joanne has held senior technical positions at Schering-Plough and Bristol-Myers Squibb supporting those organizations with both their safety and clinical systems, respectively. Joanne was also the founder and partner in her own technology consulting firm which specialized in offering services for customers in the life sciences space. She worked with a variety of customers including Berlex, Novo Nordisk, Duke Clinical Research Institute, as well as many CRO organizations on their safety and clinical system needs and requirements. Joanne holds a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering from Widener University.
